SERIES OF SEMINAR: MECHANICAL CIVILIZATION

SERIES OF SEMINAR: MECHANICAL CIVILIZATION

This series of events titled “Mechanical Civilization” is dedicated to exploring industrial civilization and includes three seminars, a visit to the Historical Archives of Politecnico di Milano (Piazza Leonardo da Vinci), and a visit to the Pirelli Foundation (Viale Sarca 220, Milan). The seminars will be led by Edoardo Rovida, former professor at Politecnico; Bianca Carretto, journalist for Corriere della Sera; and Giuseppe Lupo, writer and professor at Università Cattolica. Each seminar provides a unique perspective on industry from three complementary angles: journalism, history, and culture. Guided tours of our historical archives and Politecnico’s oldest library (preserving volumes published up to 1900) complete the series.

Participation in the seminars is open to all and will be held in the Sala Consiglio of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (Building B23, first floor). For those interested in attending and for guided visits (which require a reservation), please send an email to: . Priority will be given to seminar participants (maximum 30 people per group).
