SEMINAR: JUNE 18, 2026
Artificial intelligence is an inherently dual-use technology and, in recent years, AI-based systems have been operationally employed in several conflict environments, supporting intelligence activities, target identification, and military decision-making processes.
The seminar “The Other Face of AI: Real-World Applications and Ethical Limits in Contemporary Conflicts” will examine how these systems work, their current level of technological maturity, the ethical challenges they raise, and the directions in which they are evolving. Real-world case studies from recent conflicts and the growing international debate on the governance of military AI applications will also be discussed.
The final part of the seminar will present the structure of the course Geopolitics for Defense and Security, part of the CC3 – Defense & Security track.
When: June 18, 2026
