SEMINAR: NOVEMBER 22ND, 2024

The seminar Energy Security between Geopolitics, Sustainability, and Transition is part of the innovative Geopolitics for Defense and Security course. Key topics will include the geopolitics of energy, international crises, sustainability, and energy transition. Dr. Luca Colombo will explore the “energy trilemma” and ENI’s strategy to promote environmental sustainability, ensure supply security, and increase energy accessibility.

The session will also cover the main risks for Italy and ENI’s operations in light of current geopolitical dynamics, from tensions in the wider Mediterranean to global challenges, as well as new frontiers in energy security for protecting the supply chain. The seminar will further analyze corporate security within a national strategic framework, focusing on public-private synergies and the role of critical energy infrastructure in the face of new global risks and traditional threats. The seminar will conclude with a look at Italy’s future challenges, including an overview of the implementation of the CER (Critical Entities Resilience) directive.
